Lance Folden - bio
I have been a Product Educator of Canon digital camera for a little over 4 years. Before that I was a camera store manager in So Cal for 15 years in a number of stores. My father was a free lance photographer and got me interested in photography when I was in my early teens. My favorite types of photography are sports and wildlife.

The 40D/Rebel class and 5D class will cover the following:
Choosing and Using Autofocus Points
How and When to use Exposure Compensation
How and When to change White Balance
Changing the ISO and its effects
Different Uses for the Programs on the Main Dial such as Portrait Mode and Sports Mode
How to change Apertures and Shutter Speeds in different Modes
The advantages and disadvantages of shooting RAW and JPG
Using the Histogram
Basic Flash Photography
Using the Drive Mode and different Autofocus Modes
The difference between the various Metering Modes

The 40D/Rebel Class will also include a brief look at Live View and some of it’s uses.

The Flash class will cover:
Shooting with flash in various modes such as Program or Shutter Priority
Flash Compensation and when to use it
Wireless Flash
Macro Flash
Hi Speed Flash Sync
Built-in Flash vs External Flash

During this time I will also cover the WFT-E3A wireless transmitter and its various uses.
The lens class will cover: Different Uses for both Wide and Telephoto Lenses Specialty Lenses such as the Tilt/Shift and Soft Focus Lens Macro Lenses and their differences Image Stabilization
