Barbara Ellison - bio
An avid gardener, she began photographing flowers when her husband, Michael Kovach opened an orchid nursery. She has been surrounded by photography in her position as a Pro Market Representative for Canon USA for the past nineteen years. Barbara has taught photography workshops at various workshops on the East Coast and continues to instruct individuals in hand coloring techniques and digital applications.
Her work is published in the books, "Digital Photo Art" by Theresa Airey and books by Patrick Rice titled "Professional Techniques for Black and White Digital Photography" and "Digital Infrared Photography". Her pastel enhanced orchids were featured in an article in the August 2005 edition of the on-line magazine "DIGITALJOURNALIST.org" as well as in the recent publication of "Great Output" Magazine.
Barbara has shown in Ohio, Maryland, Florida and most recently at the Photo Plus Show in New York City. She currently resides with her husband, three dogs and a cat in Goldvein, Virginia.
